賢愚経（国訳一切経） 8-35

Buddism sutra.. お釈迦さまが使い終わられた歯木を投げ捨てられるとたちまち芽が出てみるみるうちにそれが大きな木になり、それをダンタカーシュタ（木片）と名付け、その木の枝で歯を磨くようになったことが書かれています。

ダンタは英語のデンタルの語源でインド数字で３２を表し歯の数です。

Shakyamuni threw away the used twig,soon after it buds and grew big tree. They call it [Danta kasyutta} and they

bugun to brush teeth by the branch. [Danta is oriigin of word of dental and means 32 in indian fugure.
