Buddism sutra.

お釈迦さまが使い終わられた歯木を投げ捨てられるとたちまち芽が出てみるみるうちにそれが大きな木になり、それをダンタカーシュタ（木片）と名付け、その木の枝で歯を磨くようになったことが書かれています。

ダンタは英語のデンタルの語源でインド数字で３２を表し歯の数です。
